Day one back on plan

Well by day one I mean one meal. I know only one meal not much to write about but I had to start somewhere.

I've chilled a little after my little down moment.

For dinner tonight we have had diet coke chicken thighs and baked potatoes.

The diet coke chicken is so easy to make

Ingredients
1 finely chopped onion
2 cans of chopped tomatoes (2x400g)
800ml any brand DIET COKE
Chicken thighs (tonight there was seven thighs 3 each and one for Ethan

Preparation

Remove the skin from the thighs and discard.
Finely dice the onion and add to pan with some fry light and begin to sweat.
Add cans of chopped tomatoes
Add the diet coke.
Simmer until starts to thicken

Pulling it all together

Place chicken in oven proof dish and cover with sauce.
Cook chicken as directed or until juices run clear

And serve. Fished it off with desert of a muller light so fully sun free.

For a first meal since restarting still feel very hungry but I need to get my body used to eating less and stop the snacking when I sitting around.

Well there will be more from me over coming days and months. Hopefully it will be a good journey to a slimmer Tom if not then expect me to a little pissed off with myself but I'm determined to do it again!

I've let myself down

Really pissed off 😡 at myself.... All the hard work I'd previously done on slimming world is wasted... Just weighed myself after trying on a new coat and it feeling a wee but snug... Currently 106.7kg and I'm aiming for 80kg... I will do this and I will maintain it.

Yip i'm #261 in the http://www.sunderlandcity10k.com race...  Thank you to all that have sponsored me in my effort to raise money for Chron's & Colitis UK.  As i suffer from Chron's myself it means a great deal that you have taken the time to put your hand in your pocket and help me and other like me who suffer with these.

The race itself takes place on sunday 26th June it would be great to see some friendly faces on the route either laughing at me in running gear or cheering me on I dont care which.

Agin i thank you all.

Happy happy happy

OMG you won't believe this but after the last blog post a few things have changed... Mainly last night I went to slimming world and it was the first time I've stayed in group for about 4 weeks, I can't help it the leader is awful so o can't stand being there. Anyway at group I lost 4lb making me slimmer of the week I also got my 4 stone award... Yes whilst I have attended slimming world I have lost exactly 4 stones.

My biggest achievement of the last few weeks is I've taken the step up from walking/fitness walking to running/jogging I love going out I strap my camera to my back and off I go to the sounds of running trax 2. Now I know I'm not amazing and I building up the distance I run but I'm most impressed that yesterday on a 5km adventure I managed to run/jog 3.5km I was well impressed with myself.

My other big achievement of the last few weeks is that I have purchased my first lot of clothes that have a X in the size. To me it is a really big achievement as now I really feel like I'm losing weight as I have a pile of clothes that are too big for me.

Laura's BBQ Nom Nom ribs

The title is a little strange i know but OMG it was so Nommy!!

This is the strangest BBQ i've had but laura has made it a few times now and OMG it is the best thing in the world.

Ingredients

  • 2 can of diet coke 600ml approx. (yes Diet coke not rola cola or panda cola proper Diet Coke)
  • 500g of passata
  • splash of Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt & Pepperto season

Really easy to prepare the sauce throw everything in the pan and bring to the boil. Allow to simmer for 30 mins or until you get the consistency you want.

Now the best bit get some cheap pork ribs from the butcher we left them in racks but I think next time we will separate into individual ribs, place in a roasting tray cover with the sauce bang them in the oven on 200c and cook for 1hour.

meanwhile prepare you vegetables yes you need vegetables as they are good for you.

once you slap it together you get this...

As for the Diet thing I have been doing well despite not posting recently. In may I achieved 2 slimmer of the week awards and slimmer of the month for May with an overall loss of 11lbs.

hopefully i'll not forget to post over like I have recently but if I do please give me a shout as i'm currently in the process of trying to get a little photography business going with Stay Focussed web site is still in process of being built but I'm also on facebook as Stay Focussed on Facebook and on twitter follow @stayfocussed_

Slimming World Tonight

Off to slimming world again it's the end of the 12 weeks of loosing weight as a group and a food tasting session. As I'm a little on the "CRAP.... WHERE HAS ALL THE MONEY GONE" stage of the month I've not prepared anything as I need to feed Laura and myself prior to feeding others.

So the last week has been a good week and a bad week all rolled into one. Good as I have managed to keep under the 100kg Mark and hopefully lost more tonight. Bad as on Friday I was a little on the ill side and seemed to spew the contents of my food over last 2 weeks.... Well it felt like that much.

Also on the good side I decided that I was going to do the Sunderland City 10k run...well in my case walk very fast walk. I will keep bleating about this as i am looking for sponsorships so I can raise awareness and support for people with Chron's and Colitis UK. Should be a fun day on 26th June as I go stomping around Sunderland.

Well I'll put the results of the weigh in on twitter/Facebook after the event.
